The Safe-T-Mate Anti-Rollback Device automatically prevents wheelchairs from rolling away from the user.  When the occupant begins to stand, the Safe-T-Mate Anti Rollback Device takes over, holding the wheelchair in place. Once the occupant returns to a correctly seated position the Safe-T-Mate reverts to a stand-by mode in which maneuvering the wheelchair is impeded.
